Mr. Spaghetti

Amsterdam – Museumplein

A free spirit.

He was officially adopted by the owner of a shop on the corner of a busy street, but he chose to “adopt” a couple who live on a quieter side street, with a garden where he loves to take his many naps in a simple wooden house with a blanket, although they take care of him, providing food and a warm house.

He barely makes a sound, a very low, raspy meow, which implies that he was separated from the nest early and didn’t learn to meow from his mother, so he possibly had a difficult past.

But it’s a lesson some humans should learn from animals: living in luxury doesn’t always mean living comfortably, or living better, if you’re not free.

Mr. Spaghetti knows this, which is why he often looks at us with his wise, silent panther eyes.
